We started the holiday by going to a cat café where you can pet cats. I went with my mum and my grandma, but I was the only one who interacted with the cats (as shown in picture to the right of the text.) We had chicken nuggets and French fries, and then we went home. The day after the cat café, we got our nails done (I got a pedicure and mum got a manicure. I got my nails painted with purple glitter and mum got her nails painted bright red for the Lunar New Year.)
The next day, me and mum set off for the south of Taiwan. First we took a taxi to the train station, then took the 6:44am train to Banqiao. Then we took the 7:59am high speed rail train to Zuoying Station. From there, we took a rental car to the NMMBA (National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium.)
After check-in, our tour group took a tour bus to a farm, where we picked daikon (basically white radishes.) I picked six of them for no reason whatsoever. Then we washed, chopped and pickled them, and added salt and spicy sauce. After making the pickled daikon, we went clamming. We explored around the museum and the seaside until noon and then went home.
After that came the Lunar New Year, where I drew 9 red envelopes and put 20 Taiwan Dollars in each (I don’t have much money.) On the day after New Year, the whole family went camping/glamping in Miaoli. We did a few activities there, such as bingo, making food, and games. There was a big playground with slides and swings, and it had a great view of the sunset.
Then I went to a travelling tour camp by an organization called KeePlaying. I went to one of the camps set up by that company last summer, which is why I went again. We went to (the following list is not in the correct order) Miaoli, Hsinchu, Puli, Taichung, Nantou, Changhua, ect. The highlight of the trip was going to the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village (which is a theme park.) Link to the website is here➡ https://www.nine.com.tw/
Also, my baby sister was born on the 5th of February.
It might seem like a lot of moving around and visiting places, but my family travel often and I like seeing new things and having new experiences.
